Smartsign 11.26.8​

This release brings more flexible scheduling, site profiles in the new interface, and a large number of fixes across the media library, bookings, screen registration, and device support.

New features​

Media library​

  • Safer folder deletion — deleting a media folder now shows which bookings would be affected, with an explicit option to also remove the media from those bookings.
  • Faster browsing — media and folder listings load faster.

Scheduling & bookings​

  • Monthly recurrence on relative days — schedule bookings to recur monthly on days like "the first workday of the month".
  • Favourite bookings — favourite bookings can be applied when creating new bookings.

Administration​

  • Site profiles in the new interface — site profiles now have list and detail views in version 11.
  • Template categories — a new template categories tab on users and groups.
  • Screen layouts in navigation — screen layouts are now directly reachable from the navigation menu.

Screens & devices​

  • Unsupported screen warnings — version 10 now warns when a screen model is no longer supported.
  • Device support — Support policy corrections for several vendors. LG screens on webOS 6+ now report their MAC address.

Data sources​

  • SharePoint content language — choose the content language for SharePoint pages.

Bug fixes​

Media library & playlists​

  • Files uploaded with the top upload button are now correctly added to the playlist.
  • Uploading several files at once no longer produces items with zero duration or missing settings.
  • Media uploaded inside a template is no longer also added to the booking playlist.
  • The media picker now shows media in expanded folders after being reopened.
  • Improved mobile view and panel scrolling in the add-media flow.

Bookings​

  • Bookings in the trash are now cleaned up automatically in the new interface.
  • Fixed a calendar display issue and drag-and-drop in bookings.

Screens & registration​

  • Batch registration now assigns licenses automatically, and pre-registered screens show the correct license status.
  • Screen names and site size settings can no longer be edited without the required permission.

Templates & interactions​

  • Interaction nodes no longer end up out of sight when many nodes are visible.
  • Improved text box highlighting in quick edit.

Playback & downloads​

  • Download status is now set correctly when a download retry fails.
  • Fixed an issue that caused Hivestack media to be re-downloaded unnecessarily.

Known limitations​
