Installing Smartsign Android Player
important
It's critical that you use the CMS PlayWizard App to install the APK.
Without doing so the APK will not have access to SOLUM APIs and will not
function as intended.
- Download the Smartsign Android Player
- Place the APK file on a USB flash drive
- Connect the USB flash drive to the screen
(You may need to use a USB OTG adapter if the screen doesn't have a regular USB port) - Start the CMS PlayWizard App
- Browse and select the APK on the USB flash drive
- Install the APK and then run it
- Approve permissions for Smartsign Android Player when asked
- You may need to relaunch Smartsign Android Player more than once to accept all permissions
- Select Server Address and input your server (hostname only), then click OK
- EU Cloud service: eu.smartsigncloud.com
- AU Cloud service: au.smartsigncloud.com
- On-premises: Use the hostname or IP that your server is configured with
- Adjust other settings to your liking
- Exit, by pressing BACK
- The player should now launch and show a registration code after a few moments
