Replacing a screen
Sometimes you may need to replace a screen in Smartsign—whether it's broken or too outdated to support the features you need.
Reg-code replace lets you instantly swap a screen without losing any settings, licenses or scheduled content.
It’s the ideal solution for quickly getting a new device up and running in place of an old or faulty one.
How to replace a screen

Prepare the new screen or player
- Set up the device according to the Hardware installation guides
- Make sure it is showing a registration code.

Sign in to Smartsign
- Log in and navigate to the Screens view.

Find the screen to be replaced
- Locate the screen you want to replace and open its details.
- Locate the screen you want to replace and open its details.

Access advanced settings
- Go to the Advanced settings section.
- Go to the Advanced settings section.

Enter the new registration code
- Input the registration code shown on the new device.
- Click Reg-code replace.
- Press Save to confirm replacement.
New screen will now inherit all settings and start playing content when download is complete.
