Spectra

Introduction

The Spectra data source is use to import data from the Spectra Hotel Management System by Spectra Systems,

Export from Spectra

Bookings must be exported as xml from the Spectra booking system and saved to a folder on the same computer where Smartsign Conference Importer is installed. This should be done either at a recurring interval or whenever there is a change in the bookings. Please contact Spectra Systems or your Spectra reseller if you need assistance with configuring this.

Installing

Run the Smartsign Wayfinder Importer setup application and follow the instructions to install the software on the computer where the Spectra xml export file will be stored. Once the setup completes you will be presented with a dialog to configure your connection to the Smartsign Server.

Importer Server Connection
Input the connection details and click save. Please observe that you should not use an Admin or SiteAdmin user as this may result in bookings being deleted from channels. It is recommended that the user should have the userprofile "Wayfinder". In addition the user must have access to the Channels which it needs to update. Each room is represented by a Channel in Smartsign.

The Channels (= rooms) can either be created in advance or Wayfinder Importer can create them automatically based on the room-data that it imports.
