Installing Smartsign Room on an Iadea / Meetio display

  1. Update to latest Iadea firmware (to remove the Meetio application)

    Download and instructions are provided on Iadea's support page:

    note

    The above link concerns devices with Android 7.1. If you have a different version, you must use the corresponding firmware instead.

  2. Configure the display

    • Download the latest Smartsign Room APK and place it on a USB memory stick.
    • Plug the USB stick into the display
    • Make sure the device has correct time and date set
      • Press the time and date below Time zone

      • Set the correct time zone, enable 24-hour format (optional) and enable Automatic date & time

    • Return to the main page (Basic settings)
      • Swipe downwards in the top left corner to reveal the system status bar

      • Swipe down again, and select your inserted USB stick

      • Browse and select the Smartsign Room APK
      • Choose to install it, you may need to confirm that you allow installation from Unknown sources first
      • Select Done and return to the main page again (Basic settings)
    • Select Advanced
      Select Advanced
      • Select Content
      • Select AppStart
      • Configure as follows:
        • Package name: com.smartsign.android.room
        • Force immersive mode: Enabled
        • Press Set to save App Start Config
    • Configuration complete
    • Launch the Smartsign Room App by pressing Play in the menu Press Play
    • Approve the app's permission requests
    • Smartsign Room will now launch, connect to the service and provide you with a registration code
  3. Register the screen in Smartsign Room
