Feeds

Feeds are a mechanism to create messages and send them to receivers which can be both screens and/or mobile devices. For mobile devices the app Smartsign Mobile Play is used (only available on Smartsign cloud service).

Each feed will provide a standard RSS XML link that can be used to show the feed on screens. Either by using an RSS widget or by creating a template with an RSS data source. Please note that RSS does not provide a standardized way to include media and as such media may not be available/viewable depending on how the RSS is viewed.

Each message can contain a headline, a body of text and a media attachment. It's also possible to set a time limit to determine between which dates and times the message will be valid. The message will only be included in the feed within that period of time.
