Overview

The image below shows a typical system overview of a Smartsign Display Manager installation. A user selects content to schedule in Smartsign Publisher. This will be sent to Smartsign Server for storage and distribution. Smartsign Server will then distribute the content and schedules to the players/screens.

Smartsign Player

The player is responsible for outputting the content to your screen. It can be a software program that you install on a computer, an app that you install on a device or a builtin chip also known as SoC, "System On Chip".

Smartsign Server

The server is the most important component in the system. Its job is to distribute the correct content and schedules to all Smartsign Players. The server can be hosted as a cloud service or located on-premise in your own network.

Smartsign Publisher

The web interface used to schedule content and administrate Smartsign. The server/cloud service provides this.
