How to access Smartsign Player Config

If there is no Config shortcut, you can access the configuration by launching the Player and then inputting the following combinations. (APK v10.24+)
Using remote: UP DOWN LEFT RIGHT
Using keyboard: 1 2 3 4

Change orientation

Minimum firmware version 6.7630 or later (released 2024-12-16).
Minimum Android Player APK 10.24.11 or later.

Android TV UI is not designed for portrait use. As such it will remain in landscape and rotation will be applied/restored automatically by the player on start/exit.

1. With the player running, access the player configuration by pressing 1 2 3 4 on the remote
2. Select Screen orientation
3. Select the desired orientation, for example Portrait
4. For portrait orientation, also make sure to enable Use ExoPlayer on the player in Smartsign Publisher once it has been connected. This is necessary for proper video rotation.

I have enabled API Access in the display, how do I set my Pre-Shared Key in Smartsign?

1. Login to Smartsign Publisher (with admin access)
2. Navigate to Management → Screens → Player profiles
3. Click View on the player profile you want to use
4. Select the Settings tab
5. Change the Settings category to Android
6. Find the setting Pre-Shared Key
7. Input your Pre-Shared Key (the same one set in the displays)
8. Enable the "F" icon (Force, immediately applies the setting to all current and future players)
9. Click Save

Factory reset

1. Open Settings

2. Select System → About → Reset → Factory data reset

3. Select Delete everything

4. Confirm
