How to access Smartsign Player Config

If there is no Config shortcut, you can access the configuration by launching the Player and then inputting the following combinations. (APK v10.24+)
Using remote: UP DOWN LEFT RIGHT
Using keyboard: 1 2 3 4

Access the Android shell

Using the remote, press HOME 1 8 8 8

Wrong input/app on startup

  1. To access the Android shell, press Home 1 8 8 8 on the remote control
  2. Select Settings
  3. Select Signage Display
  4. Select Source settings
  5. Select Custom App
  6. Select Smartsign Player and then Save
  7. Press Home on the remote control
  8. The on-screen display menu will show
  9. Select Configuration 1
  10. Select Boot on source
  11. Select Input: Custom

Change orientation

  1. Click HOME on the remote. 
  2. Select CONFIGURATION 2 and then ROTATION in the onscreen menu.
  3. Set OSD ROTATION to PORTRAIT and IMAGE ROTATION: ALL to On.

Factory reset

  1. Using the remote control press the following in sequence: Home 1 9 9 9 Return
  2. A factory menu will appear on screen
  3. Select Factory Reset
  4. Select Yes to confirm
  5. The display will turn off when the reset is completed

Unknown sources

When installing apps from USB-storage or similar you may need to adjust security settings to allow installation from other sources.

  1. Open Settings and find the Security settings
  2. Find and enable the setting to allow installing apps from unknown sources
